CFANS alumni connect in nation’s capital

The University of Minnesota Alumni Association–DC Chapter hosted their annual Capitol Hill reception last week. CFANS alumnus and US representative for Minnesota's 1st congressional district Brad Finstad (AgEd '02) was a special guest at the event, and he spoke to the more than 50 attendees. CFANS alumnus Thomas Liepold (ACM '16), legislative assistant at the office of Minnesota senator Amy Klobuchar, also addressed the crowd; Liepold is also an alumnus of the College of Liberal Arts and the Humphrey School.

The DC alumni network was named the 2023 Outstanding Alumni Network. The UMAA describes this award as celebrating “the outstanding total programming efforts of an alumni network in support of the Alumni Association and the University of Minnesota.”
