Will Zorrilla new associate director of Oat Global
The Stakman-Borlaug Center (SBC) is pleased to welcome Will Zorrilla as the associate director of Oat Global. Oat Global is a public-private partnership committed to improving resilience, quality, and value of oat by coordinating precompetitive research, breeding and extension on a global scale. Led by the SBC, Oat Global comprises worldwide participants from academia, governments, industry, and oat commodity and other stakeholder groups.
As the associate director of Oat Global, Zorrilla interfaces with SBC leadership and staff, and the Oat Global Board of Directors, to facilitate dialogue and interactions within the Oat Global community, secure external funding to support research and extension in oats, manage a growing portfolio of Oat Global research and extension priorities, and manage a variety of tasks to grow and support the organization. Zorrilla has an M.B.A. from Kansas State University and he brings nearly a decade of experience working in the agriculture and food space aligning pre-competitive research with the bottom line of industry to the center.
