Thailand 10-Year Reunion

Crowded RoomThe CFANS Thailand: Tiger Conservation and Vertebrate Field Methods study abroad program is turning 10 this year.

Earlier this month, CFANS International Programs and Alumni Relations hosted a program and alumni celebration. Program leaders Dave Smith and Francie Cuthbert and country partner, Achara Simcharoen joined Mary Buschette, Alumni Relations, and Maggie Wallenta, International Programs.  Program alums as well as the current class gathered to celebrate.  It was exciting to hear about the many ways this program has positively impacted the alums personal, academic, and professional trajectories.  They noted how the program helped expand their cultural knowledge, provided a global perspective, ignited a desire to learn and travel, and was instrumental in their graduate and/or career pursuits.

Nearly every cohort was represented with the program alumni and the current class attending the celebration. The group enjoyed Thai music, shared best memories, viewed a collection of photos, and ended the evening with a raffle drawing and group selfie.
