Learning and Environmental Sciences Building
Stop by this free event to see students' presentations and displays about their sustainability projects and research. Presentations are from 2 to 4 p.m. and include 5-minute lightning talks, multimedia, posters, and more.

This week-long event began here 99 years ago. It's a fun way for students, faculty, alumni and others to celebrate agriculture at the U of M! The week caps off with a big barbeque on April 18 from noon to 2 p.m. during the Animal Showmanship Competition. RSVP or learn more.

CFANS encourages all undergrads to take the SERU survey soon. It's a way to anonymously give feedback about your U of M experiences. What you share helps the U of M improve. ICE CREAM PRIZE: Complete the SERU before May 1 to get free ice cream (produced by CFANS!) from the St. Paul Student Center.
Share Your CFANS Experiences With Visiting 8th Graders

Share your perspectives with kids! CFANS will soon host local 8th graders on the St. Paul campus. Help them have fun by volunteering to: give tours, lead them to educational sessions, or be in a student panel discussing campus life, college prep and more. Volunteer for any April dates.
Upcoming Scholarship Deadlines
CFANS International Learning Grants, $1200 to $2400
apply by April 15, 2015
Get help paying for your international study program! Typical award amounts are $1200 for a semester and $2400 for an academic year. See details. The April 15 deadline is for programs in fall 2015 or next school year. Awards are based on application quality, relevance to your study in CFANS, and other requirements.
Feed Energy Company Scholarships, $2500
apply by April 30, 2015
Open to students in ag-related majors. You must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and write a 2-page essay on this topic: "What changes can animal agriculture make to gain public and consumer support and confidence?" Learn more.
MN Association of Professional Soil Scientists, $700
apply by April 30, 2015
Open to students with a soil-related curriculum. Scholarship applicants must be entering their junior or senior year. See details (scroll down to MAPSS 2015 Scholarship section).
