Gopher Football: Celebrate Ag and Food Day

CFANS Tailgate: starts at 1 p.m. (new time)
Game: starts at 3 p.m.
TCF Stadium

This Saturday, the U of M will honor Minnesota ag and food industries at the Gopher football game! Join CFANS before the game (starting at 1 p.m.) for fun and tailgating outside the stadium. We'll have free brats and cheese from our Meat Lab and Dairy Store. RSVP for the CFANS Tailgate. If you want to join us at the game, students can purchase $10 game tickets. St. Paul Campus Job and Internship Fair
Tuesday, September 23, 2014

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
St. Paul Student Center, North Star Ballroom

Talk to recruiters to learn about internships and full-time jobs available to CFANS majors. Fields represented include agriculture, animal science, banking/finance, bio-based products, business, communications, food industry, marketing, and more. Free and open to all U of M students and recent alumni. See details.

Tree Planting with CFANS
Saturday, October 4, 2014
9 a.m. planting; free lunch at noon

Join CFANS and the City of St. Paul for a volunteer planting event at the new Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary. We'll plant 65 trees in the morning, followed by a free picnic lunch. Students and everyone welcome! RSVP here.


Upcoming Scholarship Deadlines

$100 Conference Grants for CFANS Students
1st deadline: September 29, 2014
In 2014–2015, CFANS will offer 25 $100 grants to pay for expenses incurred to attend conferences related to CFANS majors. Recurring deadline is the last Monday of each month. See guidelines and application.

$5,000 Throlson American Bison Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: October 1, 2014
Scholarships totaling $5,000 are available for juniors, seniors or grad students studying bison or fields related to the bison industry. The scholarship is for the spring 2015 semester.
