Save the date for the biggest student career fair in Minnesota. To be successful, it helps to prepare in advance. Approximately 250 organizations will be there to recruit U of M students and recent alumni for jobs and internships. See details and tips at jobfair.umn.edu.
Find Study Spaces and Distractions on the St. Paul Campus

Need a quiet place to study for finals? Or do you need a break instead? As classes end and finals begin, St. Paul Libraries offer both. Magrath Library will be open until midnight from Dec 11–17, with a special area open until 2 a.m. via UCard access. See complete list of activities and schedules for U of M libraries.
Library activities in St. Paul include:
- Magrath Library : bingo with candy (Dec 8-11), button making (Dec 8-9), free coffee and tea (Dec 10-11), and more
- Natural Resources Library : origami animals (Dec 8-11), Inspiration Chain (Dec 8-9)
- Vet Med Library: free tea, bring your own mug (Dec 8-11)
Upcoming Scholarship Deadlines
Conference Grants for CFANS Students, $100
deadline: December 15, 2014
CFANS regularly offers $100 conference grants you can use to attend a conference related to your CFANS major. Application deadlines are the last Monday of each month (except for this Dec 15 deadline). Learn more.
National Corn Growers Association Scholarship, $1000
deadline: December 12, 2014
Open to sophomores and higher who are members of (or have family in) the National Corn Growers Association. See the NCGA website.
Annie's Sustainable Agriculture Scholarships
deadline: January 5, 2015
These scholarships can be worth thousands. Applicants must be studying sustainable and organic agriculture. Funds are for the 2015–2016 school year. See the Annie's website.
Udall Scholarships, $5000
deadline extended to January 16, 2015 (from Nov 2014)
These are for sophomores or juniors who are either a) preparing for careers related to the environment, or b) Native American students preparing for careers related to native health care or tribal policy. For information and the U of M contact, search for "Udall" on this U of M Scholarships page.
