Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership October Webinar

Wednesday, October 28, Noon - 1 PM

In the face of a changing climate, Minnesotans are responding with innovative and collective efforts. To highlight these efforts, the Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership (MCAP) will be hosting a series of webinars about climate adaptation and resilience in Minnesota. These webinars kicked off in July and will focus on knowledge, tools, and case studies from local leaders. Each webinar will include 30-40 minutes of presentation by an invited speaker or speakers and 20-30 minutes of moderated Q&A.

The October webinar will be on Planetary Health and Climate Change and will be given by Dr. Teddie Potter. Dr. Potter is a Clinical Professor, the Specialty Coordinator of the Doctor of Nursing Practice in Health Innovation and Leadership, and the Director of Planetary Health at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing.

Dr. Potter is deeply committed to climate change education including co-founding Health Professionals for a Healthy Planet, membership in the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments, and membership on the American Academy of Nursing Environment and Public Health Expert Panel. She is a member of the Coordinating Committee of Columbia University’s Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education and a Fellow in the Institute on the Environment at the University of Minnesota. She chairs Clinicians for Planetary Health (C4PH) through the Planetary Health Alliance at Harvard.
