Plant Protein Innovation Center Inaugural Meeting
We are excited to announce the Plant Protein Innovation Center (PPIC) Inaugural Meeting that will be held on November 28, 2018 at the Graduate Hotel, Minneapolis, MN.
This is a one day meeting with breakfast and lunch included and no registration fee.
Registration is closed. Registration is required to attend the meeting.
The PPIC, housed within the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota, will be the first center of its kind in the nation to bring together interdisciplinary researchers and industry partners to produce and study nutritious and functional plant protein ingredients for various food applications.
The goal of our inaugural meeting is to introduce the mission of the center, its model, and the need for such a center to address current industry challenges while working together. The meeting will provide a platform for industry representatives to come together to describe their interest and work in the plant protein space, their challenges, and what type of research questions they would like to be answered at a non-competitive level.
We will have speakers from different institutions, stakeholders, and from industry, then finish up with a large group discussion of direction and research priorities.
