About the speaker

Shefali Mehta received her Ph.D. in agricultural and applied economics and her MS in statistics from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Mehta has spent her career focused on agriculture and the environment, to find ways to improve how we take care of our resources and our environment. She is currently the Executive Director of the Soil Health Partnership, a program of the National Corn Growers Association. She is also the CEO of Ceres Wave, an agriculture and food technology company, and founder of Open Rivers, a consulting firm helping clients on strategy and implementation within the ag and environment space.

Mentoring circles provide participants with a safe open place to discuss points brought up during the seminar series and beyond. Participants in the mentoring circles receive priority registration for the Artemisia Professional Development Workshops. Mentoring circles are operating on the calendar year and sign up is now open for 2019 circles. This seminal workshop will develop skills and address needs to truly empower and support women in their current and future roles. It is supported by an alumni steering committee comprised of women that have risen to leadership positions who will leverage personal leadership development experiences in business and industry to introduce to women on campus.
