- (Photo, left) Gary Anderson ('86, B.S. Agricultural Business Administration) was recently named one of the senior leadership team for CHS Ag Business platform. Anderson is now senior vice president, North American Grain Marketing and Processing and Food Ingredients.
- Jerry Cegelske (’74, B.S. Wildlife) has been selected as the first recipient of the Fisheries, Wildlife & Conservation Biology Distinguished Alumni Award. Cegelske served as FWS Law Enforcement Special Agent, playing a pivotal role in many anti-poaching operations, training agents in other countries, and working with subsistence communities to develop sustainable harvest practices. The award presentation will take place at the Kolshorn event on October 6.
- Don Pereira (’92, Ph.D. Fisheries) has been nominated by President Obama to serve as Commissioner, United States Section of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission. Pereira is Chief of the Section of Fisheries at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, a position he has held since 2013. He has held various positions at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources since 1983, including Fisheries Research and Policy Manager, Fisheries Research Program Supervisor, and Senior Fisheries Research Biologist.
