Recap: Gopher Homecoming with CFANS
Gopher Grams, Parade, Beer & Brats, OH MY! This year, CFANS alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends came together for a fun and family-friendly University of Minnesota Homecoming! Campus was full of life and Gopher spirit. To view photos from the week, check out the Facebook photo album!
Homecoming Day of Service: On October 15, University of Minnesota and CFANS alumni and students worked together to volunteer in the local community. Some volunteers planted trees in St. Paul while others packaged food at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan. Thank you to all who participated in these events and made a difference in your local environment and community!
Gopher Grams: This year, CFANS alumni and friends submitted 115 Gopher Grams - personal messages, which we combined with some sweet treats - to CFANS faculty and staff on campus. This was a record number of Gopher Grams! Thanks to everyone who participated in sending messages that brightened CFANS staff and faculty's days.
Beer & Brats at the Bell Parade Party: Nearly 300 CFANS alumni and friends attended, and some even brought their pups along - dressed in Gopher gear, of course. Thank you to the Bell for hosting us yet again!
Homecoming Parade: All CFANS Majors were represented in the parade, and student and alumni participants engaged with people along the parade route. Maizey from the Minnesota Corn Growers and Elmer the Elm Tree joined CFANS alumni and students in the parade!
Homecoming Royalty: The 2016 U of M Homecoming King, Ethan Dado, hails from CFANS! Ethan is a junior, studying Animal Science and Ag Education. Ski-U-Mah!
Photo Contest: Current CFANS student DJ Rekstad won the CFANS Homecoming Facebook Photo Contest with his stellar photo below. Well done, DJ! View more photos from the week in our Facebook photo album!
