Development Spotlight: CHS Foundation
Earlier this fall, the CHS Foundation announced its largest gift ever, $3.44 million to the University of Minnesota to benefit agricultural education and rural communities around the country. With many more agricultural jobs available than people to fill them, it is important to expose students to the many diverse careers they can have within the food and agriculture industry. This gift will help fund the creation of interdisciplinary curriculum including agricultural themes, experiential learning opportunities, and new technologies that K-12 educators can incorporate into their classrooms. Together, CHS and CFANS are preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders.
