BethDuFraneBeth DuFrane, age 49 of Gaylord and formerly of Henderson passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was a 1984 graduate of Arlington – Green Isle High School and furthered her education by attending the U of M Pre-Vet School for three years. She was a current member of the Sibley – East School Board and a director of religious education, confirmation teacher and Sunday School teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She lived for attending activities and functions in which her children were involved in and was a second mother to many children. Her obituary can be found here.

Barb KelmBarbara Kelm ('68), passed away at the age of 68 on Thursday, October 15, 2015. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from the University of Minnesota. Early in her career she worked as a home economist for Goodhue County through the Minnesota Extension Service and Community Education early childhood and family development. As computers became essential to administering farm records, she learned the business of electronic ag records management by selling hardware and using Red Wing Business Systems software. Beginning in the early 80s until the present, she owned and operated her own business. She took great pride in the service she provided to Midwest family farmers and local Red Wing businesses. John MurrayJohn Murray ('56 & '68) passed away on October 28, 2015. John earned his B.S. and M.S. in agricultural education in '56 and '68 respectively. John taught high school agriculture in the Okabena and Jackson school districts. He later took a position of adult farm management instructor in Jackson from 1972 to 1984 and was also an area agriculture coordinator in southwestern Minnesota. John served as the president of both the MN and National Vocational Teachers Associations. He was instrumental in starting the National FFA Farm Business Management Career Development Event, where he served as a superintendent for over 30 years and also helped with the progression with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. John served as superintendent of the MN FFA Crop Show for many years, served on the National Pork Producers Agriculture Committee for over ten years, and was included in the MN FFA Hall of Fame.
