The University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus ranks No. 29 in the inaugural “Best Global Universities” rankings released by U.S. News & World Report on October 28. The U of M ranks No. 9 among U.S. public institutions, and No. 3 among Big Ten Conference public schools. By academic field, the University of Minnesota landed 20 disciplines in the global top 100 - 3 of these are from CFANS: Agricultural Sciences (15th), Environment/Ecology (17th) and Plant and Animal Science (17th). The University of Minnesota has a profile page on the U.S. News website that displays contact information and detailed ranking indicators. Among the 10 indicators, the U ranks No. 4 in the number of Ph.D.s awarded, and No. 18 in publications.
