- 53rd Annual Minnesota Shade Tree Short Course & Happy Hour

This two day event brings together the urban forestry and arboriculture community but anyone interested in learning more about trees can attend! Attend our annual half-day learning event featuring the latest research from the experts at CFANS. Brian Horgan, a professor and extension specialist in the Department of Horticultural Sciences, will present the keynote, Science of (the) Green, a renovation, demonstration and research initiative addressing the golf industry’s need for long-term agronomic, economic and environmental sustainability. Also featuring 8 breakout sessions on a wide variety of fascinating subjects, plus a special Kids' Edition for youth K-6. See details and registration.
- Minnesota Royal
April 13 – 18, with Alumni BBQ on April 18 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Livestock Pavilion
In 1916, a tradition began on the St. Paul Campus; 99 years later the tradition continues during the 2015 community-building, campus-wide event known as Minnesota Royal. It is a week full of events that unite students, faculty, community members, and alumni in celebration of fun and agriculture at the University of Minnesota. You are invited to attend the Alumni BBQ on April 18, beginning at noon during the Animal Showmanship Competition. More information will be posted on the Minnesota Royal Facebook page.
