Did you know?

Entomologist Alexander Hodson (namesake of Hodson Hall) kept notes on 14 different plant species throughout the seasons on the St. Paul campus as he walked to work each day for 50 years (1941-1991)! Rebecca Montgomery, an associate professor in the Department of Forest Resources, is using these phenological records to build a knowledge base that can shed light on how different plants and animals respond to changes in the climate.
