CFANS Behind the Scenes: a taste of study abroad in Italy
Participants enjoyed an evening of Italian culture and cuisine at the May 13 event: “Behind the Scenes: Learning Abroad in Italy”. The focus of the event was to highlight the CFANS Alumni Global Learning Adventures program, a study abroad experience in Italy centered on traditional food, agriculture and winemaking.
To provide a sample of what the learning abroad trip this October has to offer, participants enjoyed Italian hors d'oeuvres by D’Amico and Sons, an olive oil tasting, and even a language workshop presented by two Italian instructors from the University of Minnesota’s Italian Language Department.
The opportunity to register for the Italy program is still available. From Cinque Terre to Chianti, learn about organic winemaking, traditional farming methods, modern enology and land management practices along spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast. Led by CFANS Associate Dean, Mike White, the opportunity is open to all who are interested.
