- A Minnesota dairy farm family has been recognized with a 2015 U.S. Dairy Sustainability Award for Outstanding Dairy Farm Sustainability. Dorrich Dairy in Glenwood, MN, is a 400-cow dairy, selected for its holistic environmental approach, including using wasp larvae to control the farm’s fly population, minimizing the use of pesticides and the farm’s impact on the environment. Dorrich Dairy has been in the Vold family since 1899. It is operated by brothers Greg and Brad Vold ('92, B.S. Agricultural Business Management), Greg's wife Charity, and Brad's wife Suzanne, and their parents, Dorothy and Richard. Read the press release.
