Connect with a current student - become a CFANS Mentor!

The award-winning CFANS Mentor Program connects current students with local and long-distance mentors - alumni and professionals - who support students as they explore career paths, learn how to network, and develop their professional skills. Mentors and students meet once a month from October through May to discuss everything from industry trends to work-life balance to class projects. Students benefit tremendously from the insights of alumni & friends in their areas of interest, and mentors love the opportunity to give back.

Chris Gindorff, a dedicated 2-year mentor and CFANS friend, writes, "Every student faces unique goals, desires and challenges that in many ways we may have experienced in our own journey. It's nice to be able to help them [the students], if only in a small way, to find their path, connect them to others and be a part of preparing for an amazing future."

Freshman and Applied Economics major Axl Harlander writes, "During one of our meetings, my mentor taught me that the way I learn in class will be the same way that I learn in the work world. This made me pay way more attention to how I learn and has changed my perspective on how I will look for work in the future. Steve has taught me a lot of lessons that I will cherish for a long time."
