Save the date for Classes Without Quizzes 2015!
Join us Saturday, March 28, for Classes Without Quizzes, our annual half-day learning event. This year's program will feature the latest research from CFANS scientists, including keynote speaker Brian Horgan, a professor and extension specialist in the Department of Horticultural Sciences, who will be presenting on the Science of (the) GreenSM , a renovation, demonstration and research initiative addressing the golf industry’s need for long-term agronomic, economic and environmental sustainability.
Breakout sessions cover a wide variety of topics; learn about Minnesota commodity prices and trends, track a tomato from farm to fast food, gain practical knowledge about integrating more renewable energy into your home, and hear the latest research on crop drones, antropogenic impacts on birds, new perennial wheatgrass, and more!
Our Kids' Edition program will provide youth K-6 the opportunity to explore nature's energy sources, discover (up close!) the differences and similarities between reptiles and amphibians, and get active while learning how nature maintains balance in order to maximize survival of the population.
Registration will be coming soon; be added to the mailing list if you would like more information as it becomes available.
