The CFANS Alumni Society led a successful Give to the Max Day drive this past November due in large part to the support of two of their own, Eldon Tessman '50 and Brad Anderson '89. Their combined support of $6,000 served as matching funds that inspired others to give an additional $7,000 for a total of over $13,000 for the CFANS Alumni Society Scholarship.

Eldon's support, in memory of his late wife June, added to the Tessman family's thirty plus years of giving to CFANS. The successful potato farmer from Brooklyn Park, MN received the college's Outstanding Achievement Award in 2003. Eldon and his wife Addie remain active participants in CFANS and U of MN activities.

A native Minnesotan, Brad now resides in Memphis, TN with his wife and two sons. He returns to Minnesota often to help on the family farm and attend as many Gopher events as possible. Since graduating with a masters in Agricultural Economics, Brad has enjoyed a successful 25-year career as a commodities analyst.
