Take a class, skip the test! Spend a Saturday morning in the classroom with CFANS faculty and experts and learn about the latest, exciting research to come out of CFANS. Brian Horgan, a professor and extension specialist in the Department of Horticultural Sciences, will present the keynote, Science of (the) Green, a renovation, demonstration and research initiative addressing the golf industry’s need for long-term agronomic, economic and environmental sustainability. Breakout sessions cover a wide variety of topics; learn about Minnesota commodity prices and trends, track a tomato from farm to fast food, gain practical knowledge about integrating more renewable energy into your home, and hear the latest research on crop drones, human-induced bird mortality, intermediate wheatgrass, and more.

Bring the whole family! Our Kids' Edition program will provide youth K-6 the opportunity to explore nature's energy sources, discover (up close!) the differences and similarities between reptiles and amphibians, and get active while learning how nature maintains balance in order to maximize survival of the population.
