St. Paul campus is now home to the newly renovated Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center (MAISRC). The university unveiled this new lab and holding facility with a ceremonious 'fish dumping' on March 2. This new space will better enable research students to study invasive plants, inverebrates, fish, and pathogens. This center will be home to innovative and changing research on zebra mussels, curly-leaf pondweed, heterosporis, Asian carp, and more. Unique lighting for plant growth and the black-painted lab which mimics underwater conditions for fish are just two examples of some of the highlights of this lab. To learn more, click here!
