Jump-start your weekend with stimulating conversations with faculty and experts from the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences. Learn about the latest research and go home feeling smarter!
Hosted by the CFANS Alumni Society, Classes Without Quizzes features a half-day of faculty-led interactive sessions on a variety of topics, including backyard chickens, the Minnesota woods, "green" milk, how the environment affects corn, trends that lead to future food security, and adaptations of aquatic plants. Professor of Applied Economics Michael Boland will present the keynote presentation on “The Geography of Food” which focuses on trends linked with the geographic origins of foods and increasing consumer demand for information about their food. A special interactive session will also be available for high school students and chaperones.
Kids in kindergarten-6th grade will attend their own hands-on educational and recreational programming about animal adaptations, maple syrup, and raptors.
