Gophers give back! U of M Day of Service strives to engage alumni and friends with their communities through one big day of service and gratitude. Every year the number of Gophers who volunteer on Day of Service grows. Join us as we aim to hit 1,000 volunteers for U of M Day of Service 2018!
Plant a tree with CFANS. This year, CFANS is hosting a tree planting event along a portion of the Brickyard Trail at Lilydale Regional Park in St.Paul. Reconnect with fellow alumni and friends, plant trees, and help make St.Paul the most livable city in America. Learn more or register.

Department of Plant Pathology Donor and Alumni Appreciation Event

Join the Department of Plant Pathology for a fun-filled evening as they say “thank you” to the many who help them delve into new fields of science, expand educational and outreach programs, update facilities, and provide contemporary training opportunities for students. The evening will feature a celebration of the department’s Living Legacy History Project; an unveiling of original historical artwork; recognition of the Lieberman and Okinow families, whose generosity has spanned three generations; live music; food; and a cash bar.

Applied Economics Outstanding Alumni Award Forum and Reception

Join the Applied Economics department as they celebrate outstanding alumni with this exciting awards presentation. Undergraduate, master's and PhD level alums will be recognized during the event. The event will include a forum, followed by a reception for award winners and attendees.

CFANS Parade Party
5:30 - 7:30 p.m. | Front Lawn of Folwell Hall (University Ave side), Minneapolis Campus
$10 for adults (18 and over)
$5 for CFANS students and kids 11-17 years old
Free for kids 10 years old and under
CFANS's 7th annual Parade Party, hosted on the front lawn of Folwell Hall, will start at 5:30 p.m. and end after the Homecoming parade. Alumni, families, students, and friends are welcome to enjoy brats from the CFANS Dairy and Meat Salesroom, a cash bar, yard games, and premium viewing of the parade. Non-meat options will also be available. Keep an eye out for the Department of Entomology, who will be showcasing their insect zoo and cricket chips!

Or, park on the St. Paul campus and take the campus connector (runs every 5 minutes until 6:30 p.m., and every 15 minutes from 6:30 - 10 p.m.).

Bell Museum Food Fest

Stop by the Bell Museum for a fun-packed weekend celebrating the science and culture of food! Here you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in food science with special talks from leading researchers in the field, explore diverse cultural connections in Minnesota foodways with expert guests, get hands-on with UMN scientists and students whose work spans from farm to table, and check out the special traveling exhibition from the American Museum of Natural History: Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture. Hungry? Grab lunch from one of the food trucks on-site. This event will be loads of fun, inside and out, for the whole family!

Sustainability Education Alumni Gathering

Was sustainability part of your University of Minnesota experience? This year, the Sustainability Studies Minor completes 10 years at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Alumni and current students involved in sustainability are invited to come celebrate the past 10 years, connecting with each other and building community.
