Instructions for Faculty
Check-In at North Star Ballroom
Check in at 12:00p.m. in North Star Ballroom (St Paul Student Center) on Friday, May 6th, 2016.
The procession will form in two lines and will come from behind the stage. At 12:40p.m. staff volunteers will divide faculty into two groups. Special guests and Deans will be lined up in their seating order directly behind the flag marshal or mace bearer. Promptly at 1:00p.m. the mace bearer and flag marshals will begin the procession.
Faculty line-up will begin at 12:40 p.m. The procession will form and will lead the students into the ballroom. Special guests and Deans will be lined up in their seating order directly behind the flag marshals and mace bearer. Promptly at 1 p.m., the mace bearer and flag marshals will begin the procession into the ballroom.
We will have designated faculty hooding doctoral students; however, if you have a particular student that you would like to hood yourself, please keep an eye out for them as they make their way onto the stage. As their name is about to be called, tap the back of the faculty hooder and step in. We will also have a designated “hugs and congratulations” zone on the rear, east side of the stage. Please see the stage map for more info.
When the ceremony ends, faculty will follow mace bearer off stage. The students will be dismissed row by row to follow the faculty line.
Cap & Gown Rental
Faculty needing to rent regalia for the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Science Graduate Commencement Ceremony should do so through the Faculty Registration page.
Regalia will be delivered directly to the North Star Ballroom on the day of the ceremony.
