Landscaping Your Shoreline to Protect Water Quality

All our residential properties border shorelines - if you consider that drainage from our properties ends up in our lakes and rivers, after running down street gutters or adjacent ditches. What we do on our property can have a large effect on the quality of our Minnesota waters. Learn more about what you can do to reduce your impact - whether you live in an urban residential neighborhood or a true lake or river shoreline. During this session Barb Liukkonen from the Water Resources Center will talk about shoreline zones, appropriate plantings, reducing impervious surfaces, maintenance, and invasive species.
