ASPIRE
The College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) admits a range of high academic achievers and talented students from around the world. However, being successful at the University of Minnesota takes more than just academic skills and talent. It takes perseverance and knowledge of how to navigate a complex top tier research institution. Many students report that the first year transition into the University is tough. However, successful students, like you, are not afraid to ask for help, to take advantage of University and College support services, and to get involved with campus clubs and organizations.
ASPIRE is a college-wide program designed to help new freshmen, especially ATS students, be more successful at the University. In addition to your academic advisor, ASPIRE staff will be available to help you explore your strengths, personal and academic goals, and help you identify possible campus resources.
