Barbara Liukkonen holds a joint appointment as an outreach educator with the University of Minnesota Water Resources Center and the Minnesota Sea Grant Program. She has a bachelor’s degree in geology and education from Carleton College and a master’s degree in hydrogeology from the University of Minnesota. She has worked for University of Minnesota Extension for 20 years, focusing on shoreland education, volunteer monitoring, safe drinking water, wastewater management and preventing the spread of invasive species.
