| | | | Scholarships | | | | Melisa Bauer, scholarship recipient | Every day gifted young people fulfill their dreams of interesting careers and rewarding jobs because of scholarships. Melisa Bauer, ’08, wants to become a rural veterinarian to help dairy farmers like her parents, who farm near Faribault. Receiving the Clara A. Auch Scholarship, created during the Promise of Tomorrow Scholarship Drive, has made it possible for Melisa to attend the U, focus on her studies, and become actively involved in student dairy clubs. She also goes home on weekends when she can to help out with the dairy cows and a herd of dairy goats she owns with her brother.
Scholarship support for students is at the top of the University of Minnesota's list of priorities. The University is currently involved in the largest scholarship effort in its history. To encourage new gifts, the University created the President's Scholarship Match. This match will double the impact of gifts for newly created endowed scholarships. Scholarships made a difference seventy years ago when Nobel Prize
Laureate Norman Borlaug attended our College and they continue to make
a difference today.
Here is a list of the scholarships available to CFANS undergraduates.
