Program Description
If you are a pre-health sciences student, our Nutrition program is an alternative to the traditional biology-major route to medical or dental school. As a nutrition/pre-med student, you will choose the Nutrition Science track, which offers excellent preparation in the basic sciences, food science, and human needs related to nutrition.  The program is also specifically designed to meet the University of Minnesota's medical and dental school entrance requirements.  The Nutrition Science track may also be an option for those considering other health science careers like nursing, physical therapy, and pharmacy.

Upon graduation if you decide not to pursue an advanced degree or attend medical or dental school, you will be prepared for a wide variety of positions related to food and nutrition, including: nutrition technician, community health worker, nutrition educator, food service supervisor.
