CFANS professor L. David Mech is one of the people, places and things honored in the Minnesota Historical Society's MN150 exhibit. Mech, an adjunct professor in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology, is recognized for his work with wolves.

Other items on the MN150 list with CFANS connections: alumnus and Nobel Peace Prize winner Norman Borlaug and the University of Minnesota's fruit-breeding program, which brought apples and many other fruits to the Upper Midwest.
