What are the requirements for Completing the Freshman-Sophomore Honors Program?

Freshman-sophomore honors students must complete at least three honors courses during their first two years. The CFANS colloquium course number is CFAN 1000H--Honors Colloquium, and sections are offered fall and spring semester. Entering freshmen must register for either CFAN 1000H, a CFAN Honors  Freshman Seminar or CFAN 3101H Honors Seminar. All honors students must complete a minimum of two CFANS honors courses and may complete an additional Honors Colloquium or apply for an Honors Contract. Students must earn at least a "B" in each honors course and must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 throughout their program.

Students who complete the freshman-sophomore program receive a certificate, a transcript notation and automatic admission to the junior senior program.
