 |  | Leonard Ferrington Leonard Ferrington is a Professor in the Department of Entomology with research interests dealing with biological monitoring and water quality assessments in relation to fisheries. His research is intended to develop models that relate the kinds and abundances of aquatic insects to specific environmental pollutants such as increased organic enrichment, presence of toxic heavy metals and/or acidification. His seminar will focus the effects that floods last summer have had on unusual winter-active insects that are food for trout. With more than 28 years experience in research, his research projects have been based in the states of Minnesota, Kansas, Missouri,Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming and Pennsylvania, as well as in other countries such as Norway, Argentina, New Zealand, Tasmania, South Africa and, most recently, Mongolia.
