| Graduating with honors is determined by a combination of your College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences GPA (of which at least 60 credits must come from courses taken while in the College at the University of Minnesota) and fulfillment of the honors courses and Honors Experience requirements.
There are no special additional requirements for honors students within their major programs. In general, the credits you accumulate in the courses and Honors Experience may not be used to satisfy portions of your degree requirements. Exceptions must be forwarded to the Honors Policy Committee for review.
The following Latin designations are used for Honors students:
Cum Laude - 3.5 GPA in your last 60 credits plus satisfying honors requirements.
Magna Cum Laude - 3.66 GPA in your last 60 credits plus satisfying honors requirements.
Summa Cum Laude - 3.75 GPA in your last 60 credits plus satisfying honors requirements.
