Why did you choose CFANS as a college? :
Because of the availability of a forest resources degree and applied forest management program.

Why do you think the U of M is "GREAT"? :

The U of M offers diversified programs and learning opportunities, including field stations to support natural resource programs.

Career information / Professional Achievements :
Executive Director of Dovetail Partners, Inc. Member of the Board of Directors for the Forest Guild and the Minnesota Environmental Partnership. Member of the Blandin Foundation's Vital Forests/Vital Communities Advisory Board. Former State Chair of the Minnesota Society of American Foresters.

What's your passion? / What do you love about your work and your field? :
Forestry and forests have the opportunity to play a key role in addressing local and global concerns about sustainable development, environmental health and social well-being. Responsible land use planning and natural resource management are key components of the systemic solutions needed by current and future generations.

How did your education at the U of M help prepare you for what you are doing today? :
My education at the U of M provided a firm foundation of indepth information and applied experiences.

What advice do you have for current students (and future alumni)? :
Challenge yourself within and outside of the classroom.
